| After spending some time in the Roman Forum and working in Berlin I could not escape the feeling that I'm sure most people have when visiting these cities; that the past is passed. All we have of those that came before us are stories, pottery shards, and maybe a few standing columns. Even cities that were made to last 1,000 years wash away from any number of events (war) and non-events (apathy). The Twin Towers lasted a mere 30 years. Abandoned Cities is my attempt to capture these feelings I have. |
