| These are binary landscapes of failure, malfunction, and error. I often work with hazard as a strategy within the creative process; oftentimes resulting in success, sometimes ending in failure. I wanted to explore this idea of failure. When we get an error message on our computers I wondered what that looked like. Not as code or series of defunct commands but as a landscape. What does error look like? Failure would be coaxed from machines in the form of error. The results would be outside of my aesthetic control. This is the world when machine’s fail. |
