The Imperial Animal is playing from May 30 to June 3 2007 in the gallery at St. Anns's Warehouse in Brooklyn for the 10th Anniversary of Labapalooza.

Fay Grim opens at the IFC in New York and elsewhere throughout the U.S.

Sylvarnes finished editing a short film he worked on with famed Choreographer David Neumann called The Imperial Animal. This is the fourth time they have worked together. Last year David presented tough, the tough, a DanceSpace Project presented at St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery. Right after that performance they shot this short which is only being edited now due to time constraints. It is a departure from the tone and depth of H.C.E., more lighthearted in its approach.

Sylvarnes worked as the Production Designer on Hal Hartley's latest film Fay Grim. This film was shown at Toronto, Sundance, and the Berlin Film Festival. It is an international thriller in the Hartely vein. For many Americans it is a crash course in world politics and well worth the ride.

Sylvarluxe remixed a version of Help Me Somebody from the pivotal album My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts from David Byrne and Brian Eno. The remix is titled Sylvarghost. It is on their website for the album and as of this writing is one of the top twenty picks. So, we here at Skrymir are still celebrating. It is a wonderful site that is full of great music and remixes and certainly worth a deep investigation especially if you are as fond of Byrne and Eno's work as we are.

H.C.E., Richard Sylvarnes' second feature film, premiered at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival.

Dancing Man, a collaboration with artist John Torreano, premiered this past fall at the Thessaloniki Film Festical in Greece.
