| While photographing sculpture I realized that the resultant photographs were not independent of an already inherent language. For example, we know, in most instances, who actually made the sculpture and beyond that we can see that the sculpture embodies a certain style such as Neoclassicism. The photographs contained an unintended language. That was the springboard for the creation of these works whereby two types of language vie for attention. Pioneering digital video games of the seventies, circuitry schematics, morse code in turns obliterate, enhance, or conceal the Neoclassical representative. |
